How do I use the Pocket WiFi device?
Long press the Power Button (3 seconds) to power ON the device.
Wait for it to connect to our servers.
After power ON, RoamWifi takes 2-3 minutes to connect and access to the preferred local network.
Connect your devices.
On your devices, open your Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot name (SSID) using the password (PWD)
The SSID and PWD are provided on a sticker on the device.
If the sticker is unreadable, quick press the power button to change the display. Connecting details (SSID and PWD) will be displayed in the screen.
You can also scan the QR code at the back of the unit using your phone camera to connect.
Surf the Internet.
Long press the Power Button (3 seconds) to power OFF the device.
Recharge the device for three (3) to six (6) hours every night.
How do I book Air-Roam?
Avail of our services through your trusted travel agency for a seamless experience. Billing, delivery and pull-out of the devices will be handled by your travel agency together with their other services.
Booking with your travel agency also allows for more flexible itineraries customized bookings.
How many devices can connect to 1 RoamWifi device?
You can connect a maximum of five (5) devices to the modem.
However, we recommend connecting only three (3) active devices to ensure enough bandwidth for all devices.
Is there a limit to the data usage?
No. You can surf as much as you want subject to the local telco fair use policies.
Some local telco carriers may impose a speed limit if usage goes beyond 1GB.
This means the connection speed will be reduced to 1MBPS or less depending on the local carrier rules.
Even if speed limited, the device will still be connected, and you can still perform basic surfing.
At midnight local time, the data usage will reset and full speed will be restored.
Can we use it while on a flight? while on a cruise? in remote areas?
RoamWifi devices connect to local mobile telco providers and chooses the strongest signal.
It will not work in “dead spots” where there are no telco signals.
It cannot be connected on an airplane while in-flight.
It cannot be connected on a cruise ship while out at sea.
It can be connected on a cruise ship when close to port, if a local telco signal can be acquired.
Can the RoamWifi device connect to 5G networks?
No. RoamWifi connects via 4G/LTE high-speed network.
